This page explains the cookies, similar storage (like localStorage) and personal data PitchGo uses, so you know exactly what's happening behind the scenes.

What is a cookie?

Cookies are small text files saved on your device by your browser. We also use "localStorage" — a similar mechanism used by modern web apps to keep you signed in. We treat them the same way in this policy.

Cookies we use

Authentication (essential): a secure session token so you stay signed in. Without it you'd have to log in on every page.
Preferences (essential): small flags like your remembered email on the sign-in screen.
Security (essential): tokens to protect against fraud and abuse of the service.

All of these are strictly necessary for PitchGo to work — UK and EU rules don't require a banner for cookies of this kind.

What we don't use

No third-party advertising cookies.
No cross-site tracking or "fingerprinting".
No selling of your data to advertisers or data brokers.

Data we collect

Account: email, role (stallholder or organiser), and an encrypted password.
Profile: business name, stall category, region, photos and certifications you upload.
Activity: markets you post or apply to, applications and messages.
Technical: basic device and log data needed to keep the service running and secure.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that help us run PitchGo — for example our hosting and database provider (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), email delivery and, where used, payments. They process data on our instructions and aren't allowed to use it for their own purposes.

Your choices

You can clear cookies and localStorage at any time in your browser settings — note that you'll be signed out.
You can update or delete your profile data from Account.

Changes to this page

If we add new cookies or change how we use data, we'll update this page and, if the change is material, let you know in the app.
